If you are a local business or organization and want to help the pantry, here are a few suggestions:

  • Keep a bin for food collection in your store or office which will be picked up regularly by our volunteers.
  • Organize a food drive or collect specific items such as personal care products.
  • Take up a collection in honor of an employee's birthday or other milestone and donate it to the pantry.
  • Make a commitment to donate a certain type or number of goods each month.
  • Make a monetary donation to the  pantry by using PayPal , Amazon Smile  or sending a check to our post office box: The Cupboard of Kindness, Inc., P.O. Box 874, Norton, MA 02766. A $1000. donation can buy 2000 lbs. of food. That is enough to provide 50 families with frozen meats and 2 bags of nonperishable groceries.

We especially need food donations during the summer months when schools are not in session, and there are no sporting events or holidays to provide opportunities for food collection.

  • Help with the distribution of food on the first and third Mondays of the month from 4:30-6:30 PM. Work with our clients to make their visit enjoyable and productive.
  • Sweep, dust and sort food donations prior to distribution or as part of a major cleaning effort.
  • Remove snow and apply rock salt when needed during the winter.
  • Help put together boxes of food items for delivery to our housebound clients.
